After Oga and Hilda complete their second round victoriously, both the Kanzaki-Yuka and Furuichi-Nene pairs proceed for their match.
At the boxing ring, both couples are initially misled to think that they will all need to do a dance competition in order to proceed to the third round. However, it turns out that they will all have to participate in a cooking challenge. Upon hearing about it, Aoi becomes very worried about, knowing of the poor cooking abilities with the two couples; sure enough, both Nene and Yuka appear to lack skill in the area. After going through a roulette wheel, Kanzaki and Yuka select a gratin dish while Furuichi and Nene select an omelet rice dish. Unfortunately, all four of the delinquents are shocked at the specific dishes that they will need to cook.
Kanzaki and Furuichi step up to get the ingredients and prepare them. During the selection process, Kanzaki uses a strategy to take a majority of the delinquents so that Furuichi would be left with very little, even if they serve no vital use to making his pair's dish. In the end, his plan succeeds and he leaves a minimal amount of ingredients for Furuichi.
Yuka demonstrates her adeptness in the cooking field.
As the two both start cooking, only Kanzaki is able to make progress though he ends up mixing yogurt in the pot. Yuka and Nene then start with the rest of the cooking; Yuka remakes the gratin with surprisingly well results while Nene only puts ketchup on the sushi rice. In the final minutes of the cooking, both males go back to the cooking and make astonishing changes to their dishes. Eventually, the two couples finish and present their food to the judge, Ichirō Shinjō, who regurgitates both meals and states that they are equally terrible.
Ultimately, Kanzaki and Yuka are able to proceed to the third round after they win a game of rock-paper-scissors.
